12 months...AKA: 1 YEAR?!

1 year?  How can it be?  This year has whizzed by and as you can see from all our previous posts, our little man (now a toddler) has done A LOT.  I actually broke down last week when I thought of the fact that he was turning one, it just didn't seem possible.  But as it is his day went super!

Weight: 25.1 lbs (85th percentile)

Length: 30.5 inches (85th percentile)

Nap Time: C still takes two naps a day.  But we're going to try cutting it down to one long nap this week.  He just doesn't seem interested in the morning nap anymore.  (Wish us luck.)

Night Time:  7:30 is still bedtime following a story and prayers. Bath time hasn't changed much but C now walks to the bath tub (about 15 steps).

the grass is always greener...

Food: Our boy now eats "whole" food that is only torn into mini bite-sized pieces like peas, carrots, hamburger, chicken, salmon, goldfish crackers, and yogurt just to name a few.  Pretty much whatever we eat, he eats now, too.  He also started drinking whole milk about 2 weeks ago.

Motor Skills: Little dude has been standing on his own with no support and walking like crazy.  C even did a couple somersaults with mommy's help.  He continually amazes me.  He also can feed himself (sans silverware-though he has become more interested in holding a spoon and dipping it into his oatmeal bowl).  He can also put hats on his head (as well as daddy's, mommy's and Boss', too).

Language & Fun Facts: C is still in size 3 diapers, and wears 12-18 month clothes.  He is also wearing little shoes (they're adorable).  Our boy has also said his first word, "HI!"  This word suits him perfectly, he's such a social little guy and he says it over and over, even walking down the aisles in the grocery store.  To mix it up he'll even add a wave.  Little dude is a dancing machine.  No joke, he dances all the time, any type of song he hears he has to move his body!  He's even such a smarty pants that he can find the button on his toys that will trigger a song.  C is about to get two more teeth on the top.  He also got his first professional haircut and even got to sit in car chair.  He wasn't so sure about the electric clippers but he did awesome...he's such a laid back dude.
