The Inflections of "Hi".

"Hiiiiiii!"
Before C learned his first word ("hi"), I figured there were roughly 3 different inflections of the word; each with a different meaning.  There's the standard" hi-how-are-ya" hi, then there's the "I-really-don't-have-time-to-chat-but-I-want-to-acknowledge-you" hi and lastly (my favorite) the "how-you-doin'" hi.  But for the past 3 1/2 weeks we have heard about 40 billion different "hi's".  Ok, that may be a bit of an exaggeration, but seriously this kiddo uses the word "hi" to express everything.  He'll scream it at the top of his lungs, sing it with some choreography (he literally did jazz hands-see video), say it softly when we enter his room after naps or in the morning, the little stinker will even say it right before he attempts some mischief.   But to be perfectly honest, the word suits him perfectly and is a hi-light (I couldn't resist) to my day.  After all I could definitely use a little extra sunshine from my little sunshine.
